How to place an order ?

How many pieces of plantain are in 5kg?
We do not count the plantain as its simply not practical when handling big quantities like we do. As a very loose estimate, when the plantain is large, 2 pieces could weigh up to 1kg. When the plantain is of medium size, 1kg could be 3 pieces
Can you deliver anywhere in South Africa?
Yes. We partner with courier companies with nationwide coverage and we can therefore deliver anywhere in SA.
Can I order both green and yellow plantain?
Yes you can. Please make sure you specify your order preferences in the section provided for that during the ordering process. See our tutorial video on how to order.
It is however important to note that although we do our very best to pack the freshest possible produce, there is still the possibility that the plantain ripens in transit , especially for longer distances ( over 48h transit time).
How long after paying will I receive my order?
We process and ship out orders within 2 business days of receiving them. Delivery time depends on your specific location. The courier companies take between 2 to 5 working days to deliver.
Please note that we only dispatch long distance orders on Mondays and Fridays to minimize transit time, as courier company do not deliver on week-ends and public holidays.
Will I be able to trace my order?
Yes. Once your order is received by us, you will receive automated shipping updates by email and SMS (opt-in) including a tracking number from the relevant courier company. You will receive automated shipping updates by email (opt-in) and you can always track your order
I would also like plantain chips . Can you add few packets of chips to my plantain and / yam order?
We can unfortunately not pack individual packets of chips alongside plantain or yams as the chips are likely to be crushed under the weight of the plantain /yams in transit.
Plantain chips can be ordered as a standalone item from our online store.
Can I order over the phone?
Unfortunately no. Orders can only be placed via our online store to ensure traceability
What is your return policy?
We do not accept returns on vegetables ( plantain or yams) . Should you receive damaged product , please take a picture and send it to us within 24h of receiving your consignment with a description of the issue. Please click here to peruse our refund policy
Is it safe to disclose my card information on your website?
Yes it is. Your information is encrypted and the page is secured by SSL.
